Choose the option that best matches the current sickness run, not the whole year. The biggest split is usually whether the absence is still within the first 7 days or has gone beyond that.

Use the fit note field to reflect what you actually have now. A “may be fit for work” note changes the practical next step because it usually needs a discussion about changes, not just a pass/fail answer.

If the result mentions SSP, treat it as orientation only. SSP can depend on employee status, qualifying days, recent earnings history, and linked periods of sickness.
